Versatile product Graphene works beautifully. I detailed a Cadillac XT5 today with graphene in 37 degree temp. The car stands out in our winter "wonderland."

Impressive shine and easy application This stuff works! I was skeptical but it went on easily and took my time. Follow the instructions - don’t do it in direct sunlight or if your car’s surface is hot—it’ll dry too fast and you won’t get a streakless finish. Wash your car - the instructions emphasize you have to clean the car to a flawlessly clean finish. Honestly, I just did a thorough hand wash and dry, and didn’t get obsessive about any bug or tar spots. Then again, my car is newer and pretty clean already. Then spray, wipe, let dry, buff. My car is a sparkly graphite gray and it looked like a gem when I was done with it. I imagine a jet black car would be a lot harder to get a streakless finish on. Whaddaya gonna do? You wanted a black car…

This is what I found so read to the end. I hopr I'm not wastin my time writin a review if you are not gunna read it, so for WIW....so far all I can say is; it sprays on OK, spreads well & wipes off OK, even on the glass. Now it looks shiny & water seems to dissipate quickly enough....but time will tell. Apparently it's brilliant for house windows as well but the windows have to be clean first. It's even supposed to be OK for showers & the wall tiles, (Not the shower/bathroom floor, or they will be bloody if someone slips over & goes through the glass....so dont get it on the floor....because it's as slippery as, so put a protective cloth down first or else.....

A hard shell, and an easy sell! Applied a week ago (as 2 coats over 2 days) to my 20 year old Toyota. Easy to apply and quick to finish with a clean microfibre cloth, no buffing required. Half the bottle is left after 2 coats. The shine and depth of gloss is incredible, better than any other product I have used. A coworker commented on "how fresh" the paint looked. The surface is smooth and buttery. I replaced my wiper inserts after doing the car, and the surface was so slick that I almost slipped and fell while leaning against the front fender!A quick wash yesterday to remove some bird droppings (which came off with just hose pressure anyway) and the whole car was dry in about 10 minutes. Water does not want to be there. Morning dew became millions of tiny tiny beads rather than larger droplets. I applied it to all the glass too, however for the front windscreen, it did leave a faint haze that catches sunlight in a streak after using the wipers. Glass cleaner should remove any of that residue though.I have used "Testudines Wax" and "Megs" ceramic spray-on detailers, both were OK but only lasted for several weeks before they were noticably deteriorating, which put me off using them all over again. If you're going to be doing that every 2 months, you may as well stick to a regular wax.I would recommend this and would buy it again.

Unbelievable, shine and protection This stuff works amazing. It’s phenomenal. Water beats up like nobody’s business and beats up like crazy on my truck. Use it on the glass also the same results. Talk about a shame is unbelievable better than a new paint job. I will be back to get more.

Don’t wax your car without doing this first! I used to wax over the dirt and it never looked right. Claying with this kit makes the wax last way longer and pop way more.

  2. VA

Fast shipping, packaged well. The plastic cases for the clay bars are nice for storage so they don’t dry out.

  3. VQ

This is the most satisfying step in detailing. Seeing the white clay turn brown lets you know it’s working. My car shines so much brighter now because the surface is truly clean.

  4. HR

My wheels were caked in brake dust that wheel cleaner wouldn’t touch. I used a piece of the heavy clay bar on them. It pulled the brake dust right out of the finish. They look silver again instead of grey.

  5. HF

I have a black BMW 5 Series, so I’m terrified of scratches. I used the Yellow (Light) bar with the GlideTech spray. Zero marring. It just lifted the dirt and left the paint perfect. Highly recommend for soft clear coats.

Step by Step – How To Use

Steps

Magic Shield How To Use 03 2BEFORE YOU BEGIN:

      • Ensure you’ve completed an iron removal treatment to eliminate embedded contaminants and prepare the surface for claying.

      • Park your car in a shaded, dust-free area with a surface temperature between 15°C and 24°C (60°F–75°F).

Magic Shield How To Use 04 1SELECT THE RIGHT CLAY:

      • Light Clay: For cars less than 1 year old or recently clayed within the past year.

      • Medium Clay: For cars 2–3 years old with moderate contamination.

      • Heavy Clay: For cars older than 3 years or with heavy contamination and visible roughness.

Magic Shield How To Use 07 1PREPARE THE CLAY BAR

    • Unwrap the Clay Bar: Remove the clay from its packaging.

    • Knead the Clay: Flatten and knead the clay into a disc-like shape (about the size of your palm). This ensures even pressure during application.

Magic Shield How To Use 08 1LUBRICATE THE SURFACE

        • Apply Lubricant Generously: Spray a clay lubricant or quick detailer onto a small section of the surface (e.g., 25% of the hood).

        • Key Tip: Lubrication prevents the clay from sticking to or scratching the paint.

Magic Shield How To Use 11 1GLIDE THE CLAY BAR OVER THE SURFACE

    • Apply Light Pressure: Hold the clay bar flat in your palm and gently glide it back and forth over the lubricated surface.

    • Feel for Resistance: The clay will pick up embedded contaminants. Resistance will reduce as the surface becomes smoother.

Magic Shield How To Use 12 1BUFF THE SURFACE

    • Rinse with Water: Thoroughly rinse the treated area with clean water.

    • Remove Residue: Use a clean microfiber towel to wipe off and dry the surface.

    • Inspect Thoroughly: Check each panel from multiple angles to ensure a smooth and even finish.

Magic Shield How To Use 15 1FINAL INSPECTION

  • Using a clean wash mitt, sponge, or foam applicator, dip into the shampoo solution.

  • Start cleaning from the top of the vehicle (roof and glass) and work your way downward to avoid dragging dirt to cleaner surfaces.

Magic Shield How To Use 16 2TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS

      • Always use plenty of lubricant — never clay a dry surface to avoid scratches.

      • Replace the clay bar if it becomes too dirty or worn to prevent reintroducing contaminants.

      • Follow up with polishing to refine the surface and achieve a flawless finish.

I like to do a thorough car detailing on the exterior of my car at least 3 times a year. Spring-Summer-Fall. I have used a variety of clay gloves and clay sponges from different brands so I have a general idea of what to expect. In this Magic Shield Clay Bar kit, it marks the first time I have a choice of clay levels to choose based on much contamination you may have on the clearcoat. Not knowing what to expect, I chose the medium clay bar and went to work. I will admit, using actual clay molded in your fingers is very slow and methodical. You have to work in sections and keep misting the area with the lubricants. You will know immediately when to stop claying an area as soon as your clay is gliding smoothly across. I was able to finish claying my entire hood in 12 minutes. There is a lot of area to cover. Always remember that once you clay, you must apply a form of wax. I like wet wax as the car is already wet after washing down the claying. I do like the smoothness of the car’s clearcoat; the mirror-like finish; and how water beads off. This is an excellent clay kit. Just know it requires patience and follow each step. Always clay with extra lubricants. 4.5 Stars!

  2. N.Gb

I wasn’t really familiar with clay bars before ordering this product. I was skeptical that it could work, but I needed to try something since even after washing my car it’s still not clean. This works great to remove large particles from paint. I am now a believer. This kit is especially great because there are different options depending on your needs. I’m still not an expert and won’t pretend to be but my experience with this kit is great. Recommend.

  3. Victoria Fc

I have some mixed feelings about the Magic Shield clay bar kit. Pros: +3 different types of clay bars to choose from depending on the need of your clear coat. +Good clay lube +While using clay bars they are wonderful Negatives: -Clay lubricant smell seems to linger. It doesn’t smell bad, just takes awhile to go away -I hate that the clay bars are “one and done”. Every clay bar I ever used before can be reused or at least set aside for a short break. I shut one back in the container for half an hour before I came back to it. It dried so badly to the plastic that it ripped apart.

  4. Benjamin My

This kit has everything I needed to clay bar the outside of my car. This was my first foray into the world of using a clay bar to auto detail, and I have to say, I’m impressed. It’s physically easy, but time consuming, because it’s all done by hand. But the results – wow. The time investment is definitely worth it for the results. Step one is to wash the car, to eliminate the bulk of the mess/grit. Then, spray the included lubricant onto the car, and rub over it with a clay bar. There are 3 bars of varying “strengths”. I just have an SUV that does city driving, not super dirty, so I used the lightest bar. It worked really well and removed the stuff that the initial car wash didn’t (bits of dried on bug, sap, and tar). The clay bar picks up all of the “junk” that’s otherwise stuck on the car, without scratching the paint. It’s actually pretty amazing (and satisfying) to watch. I ripped off a piece about 1/8 the size of the bar, and it was sufficient to do the entire car. I threw it away after using it, as it was full of the grit and tar that it took off of my car. The last step, after the car has been clay barred, is to wipe it with the included microfiber cloth – and then step back to admire your handy work! I was really impressed by how clean this kit got my car. The clay really takes EVERYTHING off of the paint – even old tar – and leaves the car sparkly clean. It didn’t scratch the paint at all. I was impressed at how the bar cleaned not only the paint, but also all of the plastic components of the car. Normally the plastic bits are left streaky after a wash, but not after the clay bar. The clay bar leaves them immaculate. It takes a bit of time to clay bar the whole car, but it’s not physically demanding and didn’t require any elbow grease. Using this clay bar got my car much, much cleaner than a regular car wash – it sure is efficient.

  5. Emma53

This did absolutely nothing to my truck. Spent over 2 hours and not a single inch of paint looked any better

  6. Jack Qb

As someone deeply passionate about maintaining my vehicle’s impeccable condition, this kit has quickly become an essential part of my detailing regimen. The diverse range of clay bars included caters to various levels of contaminants, effortlessly eliminating everything from light dust to heavy-duty residue without causing any harm to the car’s surface. What makes this kit stand out is the addition of the GlideTech Spray, enhancing lubrication for smooth clay bar movement and leaving behind a remarkable shine. The thoughtful packaging ensures easy organization, and the step-by-step instructions make the clay bar process accessible even for beginners. I was pleasantly surprised by the clay bars’ durability, allowing for multiple detailing sessions with just one bar.

I have never used a clay bar before and I was really looking forward to trying this out. Unfortunately I didn’t read through the whole product listing to see that you need to wash your car first. Having received this late in the season, it was too cold to wash the car properly. I am looking forward to using it in the spring and will update my review at that time. I have a black car and park underneath a maple tree so between the leaves, the sap and the birds, my car’s paint job takes alot of abuse and I haven’t been good about cleaning it because the assault on it seems to never stop. I had been hoping to use this to clean it after the leaves had all fallen but by then it was too cold. In the kit, you get three clay bar, a spray bottle of Magic Shield Glidetech Lubricant and a microfiber cloth. The three clay bars come individually wrapped and in resealable plastic containers. They come in light, medium and heavy. Each package tells you what to use it for. For example, the medium clay bar is suggested for tree sap among other things. This is helpful for a newbie like me. The microfiber cloth isn’t the best quality but then I have others at home that I can use. Overall, I think this is a good kit for a beginner starting out with clay bars as you get light, medium and heavy bars.

Good price for 40$ I’ve used the Mothers clay bar kit before, but this time I decided to try something different. This clay bar kit includes more clay bars (3 vs 2) than the Mothers kit at a lower price. I also like that it includes a range from light to heavy clay for different levels of paint correction, while the Mothers kit just includes one general purpose clay. The luber is larger in volume so it should last longer and the microfiber cloth included is good quality. Overall, a good kit that I’m excited to use.

I have a lot of my friends ask why I bother clay barring my car…. answer is simple: 1) It does not take long 2) It helps smooth out imperfections in the paint 3) It’s the best and easiest way to get tar, rust particles. and stuck-on stains off your car … and because of the above, waxing my car is much much easier. This kit comes with everything you need, the spray works really well, meaning that it is very slippery and better than using soapy water. The three clay bars are actually very smart too as I used the heavy bar on the front and rear of my car, the medium on the hood and roof, and then the light on the sides. Worked out perfect – seems like a lot of work but it goes by fast if done right. Make sure you research and learn how to use a clay bar kit properly and don’t drop your clay bar on the ground! Recommended, this is a good kit, and good value with the three bars + spray + a good quality cloth.,

I’ve used clay bars in the past, and you were lucky if the package included half of this one. There is a shammy, the lubricating liquid, and 3 different types of clay bars. The bars included are for light, medium and heavy types of uses. I used them on my car and found out the lubricating liquid was great, and the clay bars picked up a lot of contaminants. I used the light and medium on the body where there was less dirt, and the heavy one for the front of the hood and the sides. They all worked very well, removed a lot and I still have plenty for future applications. I would most definitely recommend it.
