The right route depends on the surface's current condition—not only the vehicle's age. Inspect and clean first, then add only the correction and protection steps the surface actually needs.

The system is organized as Clean & Decontaminate, Correct, Prepare, and Protect.

A typical sequence is shampoo wash; iron removal when chemical fallout is present; clay only when bonded contamination remains; polish when defects need correction; Prep Spray as the final residue-removing wipe; then the chosen coating.

Do not decide by vehicle age alone. Wash and inspect the paint, then use iron removal, clay, or polishing only when condition-based inspection shows that step is needed.

Use the least aggressive process that leaves the surface clean, stable, and ready for the selected protection.

Choose by paint condition, the application process you can complete, and the time you can allow for curing. Graphene Ceramic Coating and PRO 10H are options for compatible, properly prepared exterior paint. Graphene Ceramic Spray is a quick stand-alone protectant or maintenance topper.

Diamond AI is intended for older, dull, oxidized, or lightly swirled painted surfaces. Leather Graphene Ceramic Coating is for compatible smooth automotive leather. Inspect first, then choose the route that fits the surface.

Graphene and ceramic are not mutually exclusive coating types. Magic Shield Graphene Ceramic Coating combines graphene with SiO₂ ceramic technology. Ceramic Coating PRO 10H is our other dedicated ceramic coating option. Both are intended to add gloss, water repellency, and easier cleaning to compatible, properly prepared exterior paint.

Compare the exact products, surface compatibility, preparation, application method, and cure requirements. The word “graphene” alone does not establish that every graphene product outlasts every ceramic product. Neither coating repairs deep scratches or replaces paint preparation.

Choose Graphene Ceramic Coating when you want our graphene-and-SiO₂ formula and can follow its application guide; choose PRO 10H when that kit and its instructions suit your project. Graphene Ceramic Spray is a separate spray-and-buff option for quick protection or maintenance on a compatible, fully cured coating. Use each product’s own instructions, because their application and curing schedules differ.

It can be used as a quick stand-alone protectant or as a maintenance topper on a compatible, fully cured coating. Apply it to a clean surface and follow the spray product’s own directions.

A topper can refresh gloss and water behavior. It does not repair an underlying coating or turn its stated service life into a new warranty.

Use a qualified professional for peeling or failing clear coat, deep scratches, paint chips that need repair, heavy oxidation, unknown overspray, fresh body-shop paint, or damage that may require sanding or machine correction.

A coating protects the finish that is present; it does not rebuild missing paint or clear coat.

If a bottle, insert, video, or webpage gives different instructions, pause before applying. Contact support with photos of the label and lot code so we can identify the correct instructions for your product.

Check that advice against the instructions for your exact Magic Shield product. Reviews, marketplace answers, and AI summaries can describe a different product, surface, or older instruction.

For flash time, buffing, second coats, water exposure, and first washing, use the matching product instructions. Ask support to resolve any conflict before continuing.

Polish is a correction step for suitable light surface defects. Wax is a protection option. A ceramic coating is applied after preparation to protect the compatible surface. In the Magic Shield system, One Step Polish comes before Prep Spray and the selected coating; the products do different jobs.

No. Match the steps to the condition of the surface. A clean, smooth finish may not need clay or polishing. Rough paint may need decontamination, while suitable light defects may need correction. Choose preparation products for those needs and one protection route you can apply and cure correctly.

No. A coating is a liquid-applied surface treatment; paint protection film (PPF) is a separate film. Do not choose a coating expecting it to stop stone chips or impact damage. Coating an existing film also requires confirmation for both the exact coating and the film. Diamond AI must not be used on PPF.

Use iron remover for embedded ferrous fallout, clay for bonded contamination that remains after washing and chemical decontamination, and polish for visual defects such as light swirls, haze, or oxidation.

These are different jobs. Start with the least aggressive necessary step and inspect again before moving on.

After washing and drying, place your hand inside a clean thin plastic bag and lightly glide your fingertips over the paint. The bag makes bonded particles easier to feel.

If the surface feels gritty after chemical decontamination, clay may be useful. Use almost no pressure during the test and never test a visibly dirty panel.

Use this order: wash and rinse; chemically decontaminate if needed; rinse and dry; clay only if bonded contamination remains; polish only if correction is needed; remove polish residue with Prep Spray; then apply the coating according to its label.

Inspect between stages. You do not need to perform an aggressive step simply because it appears in the sequence.

Remove products and residues that could prevent the new coating from bonding to the surface. A normal wash or panel wipe may not remove a durable wax, sealant, or coating completely.

Because removal depends on the existing product and paint condition, inspect water behavior and surface cleanliness and use a compatible correction process when necessary.

No—not automatically. Polish only when inspection shows defects or when an existing product must be removed by correction.

Even new paint should still be washed, inspected, decontaminated as needed, and wiped with the specified prep product before coating.

A coating can go over stable prepared paint, but it will not repair deep scratches, missing paint, peeling clear coat, or structural finish failure. It may make existing defects more noticeable by increasing gloss.

Repair unstable or missing finish first. For heavy oxidation, paint failure, or a scratch that catches a fingernail, ask a qualified detailer or body shop to inspect it.

Preparation can be done outdoors when the surface stays cool and clean, but coating is more predictable in a dry, shaded, well-lit area protected from wind, dust, pollen, dew, and sudden rain.

If you cannot protect the vehicle for the label's required dry/cure period, wait for better conditions or use an appropriate indoor workspace.

Use clay only on a thoroughly washed surface, keep both clay and paint generously lubricated, work with very light pressure, and inspect the clay frequently. Fold to a clean face as directed and discard it if it touches the ground.

Clay can mar paint, especially soft or dark finishes. Test first and be prepared to polish if the test area loses clarity.

No. Polish only if inspection shows marring, haze, oxidation, swirls, or another defect that needs correction.

Check the paint in strong, diffuse and directional light after claying. If the finish is already acceptable, proceed to the residue-removal/prep step.

Prep Spray is the final exterior wipe intended to remove polish oils, wax, grease, and residue before coating. Those residues can hide defects or interfere with bonding.

It does not replace washing, iron removal, clay, or needed correction. The supported U.S. final-wipe sequence is no-rinse. If your supplied instruction differs, stop and have support confirm the controlling revision before coating.

The surface should be clean, cool, dry, smooth enough for the chosen finish, free from unstable paint, and free from visible polish oil, wax, or residue. Inspect it under good lighting from several angles.

If water behavior, slick residue, smearing, or a contaminated test towel suggests something remains, stop and resolve that condition before coating.

A rinse alone may leave road film, oils, or bonded contamination. Wash and inspect first, decontaminate or polish only where needed, then use Prep Spray as the final wipe. Apply the chosen coating only when the compatible surface is clean, dry, and ready.

Use the appropriate chemical decontamination first, then rinse thoroughly. Inspect the surface and clay only if bonded roughness remains. This reduces the contamination the clay has to collect. Finish any necessary polishing before the Prep Spray wipe and coating.

Only apply the coating when the surface is still clean, dry, and free from residue. Storage overnight can allow dust, moisture, or fresh contamination onto prepared paint. Inspect again and repeat any cleaning that is needed; keep the final Prep Spray wipe immediately before coating.

Use clean towels suited to each job. A towel holding polish, dirt, or coating residue can transfer it to the next panel or interfere with the final wipe. Keep paint, wheel, polish-removal, Prep Spray, and coating-buffing towels separate, and replace a working towel when it is dirty or saturated.

Wash and inspect first, and ask the previous owner or detailer whether the protection can be identified. Water beading alone cannot identify the product or prove it has been removed. Confirm the preparation required for your chosen Magic Shield coating before applying it over unknown protection.

Pause and have Magic Shield support confirm the instructions for your exact product and lot. Do not combine flash time from one source, second-coat time from another, and wash time from a third.

Send the product name, size, lot code, purchase date, and clear photos of the bottle and insert. This is particularly important before changing an application or cure schedule.

Flash time is the application interval before a coating that requires leveling is wiped or buffed. Cure time is the protected period after application while the coating develops its finished properties.

Magic Shield Graphene Ceramic Coating flashes for 3–5 minutes before leveling and buffing. Its full cure is 48 hours. Diamond AI uses a different self-leveling method; do not apply Graphene’s buffing step to it.

For a coating that requires buffing, work on a section you can apply, inspect, and level within its stated flash window. Begin small until the working time is familiar.

Check the product’s application method before starting. Diamond AI follows its own self-leveling process, so a general ceramic coating wipe-on/wipe-off routine does not apply.

Only when the instructions for that exact product allow it. For Magic Shield Graphene Ceramic Coating, wait four hours before an optional second coat.

PRO 10H, Graphene Ceramic Spray, Diamond AI, and Leather Coating have their own application schedules. A second coat is not a substitute for complete preparation or even coverage.

Plan the application around the product’s required dry period. Shade alone does not protect against rain, overnight dew, or road spray. For Magic Shield Graphene Ceramic Coating, arrange 24 hours without water or moisture and wait 48 hours before the first wash. Choose another application day if you cannot provide the required protection.

These describe different stages. Magic Shield Graphene Ceramic Coating must avoid water and moisture for the first 24 hours; washing must wait until the 48-hour full-cure point. A wash adds shampoo, wash-media contact, rinsing, and drying, so the first-wash instruction is separate from the initial water-avoidance period.

Do not assume more product means better results. Follow the amount and method in the instructions. Excess product can make application and leveling uneven. Graphene Ceramic Coating requires controlled application and buffing; Diamond AI has its own cloth-loading and self-leveling method.

Have the exact product instructions, a clean and prepared compatible surface, suitable applicators, clean towels where the method requires them, good lighting, and enough protected time for curing. Check the forecast and temperature before opening the bottle. Follow the product label for ventilation and personal protection.

Identify the exact coating and how long ago the area was applied before trying to correct it. Fresh residue, a cured high spot, and Diamond AI’s self-leveling film need different methods. Check that product’s correction instructions or contact support promptly with photos and timing; do not apply a generic solvent or polish remedy to an unknown coating.

Wait until the product’s water-avoidance period is complete. A beading demonstration is still water exposure. For Magic Shield Graphene Ceramic Coating, avoid water and moisture for 24 hours and wait 48 hours before washing. Testing it early does not help it cure.

Do not shorten the stated cure schedule with a heat gun, hair dryer, heater, or direct sunlight unless the exact product instructions authorize that method. Use the specified application conditions and protected cure period. A warmer surface is not proof that a coating is ready for water or washing.

Coating life depends on preparation, application, curing, climate, mileage, parking, washing, and abrasion. There is no single lifespan that every vehicle will achieve.

Treat an “up to” duration as a conditional product claim, not a guaranteed result or a written warranty. For a product-specific expectation, tell support how the vehicle is used and maintained.

No. A coating is not scratch-proof, chip-proof, or impact-proof. It cannot stop stone chips, key scratches, deep abrasion, collision damage, or clear-coat failure.

Gentle washing can reduce avoidable wash marks, while paint protection film is a different product category designed for physical impact protection.

Wash when contamination is present rather than following one rigid interval. Daily driving, winter salt, insects, bird droppings, sap, dust, and outdoor storage usually require more frequent care.

Do not allow corrosive or staining contamination to remain just because the vehicle is coated.

Use a pH-neutral coating-safe shampoo, clean soft wash media, plenty of lubrication, a thorough rinse, and clean soft drying towels or touchless filtered air.

Wait until the current approved first-wash period for the exact coating is complete. After that, use a compatible pH-neutral shampoo and soft, clean wash media when possible.

Use it on a clean, compatible, fully cured surface when you want to refresh gloss, slickness, and water behavior. Follow the Graphene Ceramic Spray instructions for application and water avoidance.

Wash and inspect first. A topper is not a way to hide contamination or fix a coating that has not cured correctly.

Adjust washing to the actual contamination rather than a fixed calendar. A coating does not replace winter washing or protect damaged paint from every exposure.

Address contamination promptly with a cleaning method approved for both the surface and coating. Avoid dry rubbing, scraping, or an unconfirmed solvent. Graphene Shampoo handles routine washing; stubborn sap, insect residue, or deposits may need a dedicated compatible cleaner. Ask for product-specific help if normal washing does not remove them.

No. Clay is a mechanical decontamination step that can mar a finish; it is not routine maintenance just because the vehicle is coated. Wash and inspect first. Confirm that any chemical or mechanical decontamination is appropriate for the coating before using it.

Polishing is a correction process and can alter or remove protection. If correction is needed, plan for the affected area to be inspected, prepared, and protected again. Do not use One Step Polish as a routine coating-maintenance product.

It is a DIY paint-protection coating intended to add gloss, slickness, water behavior, and easier routine cleaning on compatible prepared surfaces.

It is not a repair product and cannot prevent every scratch, chip, water spot, stain, or chemical mark.

Allow Magic Shield Graphene Ceramic Coating to flash for 3–5 minutes, then level and buff with a clean microfiber towel. Inspect the edges and the finish from different angles before moving on.

The Diamond AI product guide describes Graphene Ceramic Coating as an optional later step after Diamond AI has fully cured and its specified waiting period has passed. Confirm that waiting period for your Diamond AI kit before starting. Do not add the products’ advertised durations together to promise a longer service life.

PRO 10H is Magic Shield’s ceramic coating option for compatible, properly prepared exterior paint. It is intended to improve gloss, slickness, water behavior, and ease of cleaning.

It does not correct deep paint damage or make the vehicle scratch-proof. Follow the PRO 10H instructions for application, leveling, and curing.

Check the PRO 10H instructions supplied with your kit before adding another layer. Do not use Graphene Ceramic Coating’s recoat time as the PRO 10H schedule.

If your bottle, insert, and product guide list different waiting periods, contact support with the product and lot details before recoating.

Keep PRO 10H protected through the water-avoidance and first-wash periods specified for your kit. The time before water exposure and the time before washing are separate requirements.

If the instructions you received conflict with the website, confirm the schedule with Magic Shield before application. A generic ceramic-coating cure time is not a substitute.

No. PRO 10H is the product name; it does not mean the vehicle is scratch-proof, chip-proof, or impact-proof. Deep scratches, stone chips, and damaged clear coat still require correction or repair.

Use clean wash tools and gentle drying to reduce avoidable wash marks.

After full cure, use a pH-neutral coating-safe shampoo, soft clean wash media, thorough rinsing, and gentle drying. Remove bird droppings, salt, sap, and other harmful contamination promptly.

Use a topper only when its compatibility and timing are confirmed. A topper may change water behavior without proving that the underlying coating's service life has been extended.

Diamond AI is a self-leveling coating intended to improve the appearance of older painted surfaces with dullness, oxidation, or light swirl marks. It is not the default choice for factory-new or already-perfect paint.

Apply to the applicator rather than directly into the holes. Use a very thin, even layer on compatible leather, prevent pooling, and remove excess as directed. Clean first, allow the material to dry fully, and test a hidden area before treating the whole seat.

Use a gentle cleaner approved for the actual upholstery and a clean soft towel. Avoid over-wetting seams and perforations, abrasive scrubbing, and unconfirmed dressings or solvents. Let the surface dry and inspect it; coating does not repair wear, cracks, or peeling.

Graphene Shampoo is the pH-neutral, coating-safe routine wash product in the system. It is designed to remove ordinary road film and loose dirt with bucket or foam-cannon washing.

It does not replace a dedicated iron, tar, sap, mineral, or bonded-contamination treatment.

Use the bucket dilution printed on your current Graphene Shampoo bottle. Measure the shampoo against the amount of water actually in the bucket.

Bucket and foam-cannon mixtures are different. Do not copy a foam-cannon bottle ratio into a wash bucket, and do not treat rounded metric and U.S. gallon amounts as exact conversions.

Yes. Graphene Shampoo is intended for bucket or foam-cannon washing. Follow the bottle’s instructions for the selected method and adjust your equipment as directed. Foam quantity alone does not show that a surface is clean; complete a compatible wash, rinse, and drying process.

No. Graphene Shampoo is the routine washing product in the system. A liquid or spray coating is a separate protection step applied to a prepared surface. Use shampoo for maintenance without treating each wash as a replacement coating application.

Iron Remover is for ferrous contamination such as embedded brake dust and rail-type fallout that a normal wash may not remove.

It is not an all-purpose cleaner, tar remover, sap remover, water-spot remover, polish, or clay lubricant.

Shake first. Work on a cool surface in shade with ventilation, spray the affected area evenly, allow 4–5 minutes of dwell time, never let it dry, gently agitate with a compatible wash mitt or soft sponge if needed, and rinse thoroughly.

A purple color can indicate reaction with iron, but a weak color change does not prove the product failed and a strong color change does not mean every contaminant is gone.

No universal all-surface approval is supported. The reviewed physical label says to avoid polycarbonate headlights, clear-bra material, and sensitive plastics unless compatibility is specifically confirmed.

Read the exact label, test a hidden spot, keep the product from drying, rinse thoroughly, and confirm matte finishes, wraps, chrome, polished or bare metal, specialty wheels, and damaged clear coat before use.

The color change indicates a reaction with ferrous contamination such as iron-containing brake dust or fallout. It does not measure every kind of contamination. Follow the label’s dwell time and rinse before the product dries, even if the color is faint.

Rinse thoroughly before it dries. The instruction to never let it dry takes priority over trying to reach a timer. Work on a cool surface in shade and reduce the working area so you can control application and rinsing.

It targets ferrous contamination. Mineral deposits, tar, sap, and scratches are different problems and may need different treatment. Identify the contamination and confirm a compatible method instead of leaving Iron Remover on longer or scrubbing harder.

Use clay after washing and appropriate chemical decontamination only when the dry surface still feels rough from bonded contamination.

Clay is a mechanical step and can mar paint. It is not automatically required every few months or before every protection application.

No. Discard clay that touches the ground because it can pick up grit that scratches paint.

Keep clean pieces separated and use a fresh face when the working surface becomes visibly contaminated.

No. Use generous lubricant compatible with the clay and surface, along with light pressure and a clean clay face. Stop if the clay drags; do not force it across dry paint. Work on a washed, cool surface and inspect for marring before protection.
